Honey Beer Bread

Inspired by the recipe from Cookie Monster Cooking, but modified a bit into a healthier version by using wholemeal flour. I love the hint of honey which neutralises the bitterness of the beer. And no kneading or waiting for the dough to rise!

Ingredients
  • 300g wholemeal bread flour
  • 150g white bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 350 ml (12 ounce) beer

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray or butter. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together both kinds of flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add in the honey and beer and mix until just combined. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  3. Transfer the pan to the oven. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until a stick inserted in the middle comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
