Banana Coffee

Ingredients

1 ripe banana, chopped
200 ml soya milk (preferably sweetened)
instant coffee

Instructions

1. Dissolve instant coffee granules in the warm soya milk - use the portion of coffee to your own taste, some prefer is stronger, others - weaker. I used 2 heaped teaspoons.

2. Place the coffee-milk mixture and a banana in a blender and whizz until smooth.

For a mocha effect, add a tablespoon of Nutella. Yummy!

Creamy Orange & Pear

Ricotta is a soft Italian cheese, light and creamy, slightly grainy and mild in flavour. Perfect for desserts, but can also be used in savoury dishes. I chucked it into my smoothie to add some texture and substance. The result? I'm loving it!

Ingredients

2 pears, peeled and chopped
2 oranges, peeled and juiced
125g ricotta
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a food processor and whizz until smooth.

Delicious!

Ingredients

150g blueberries
1/2 banana, peeled and chopped
3tbsp natural yoghurt
Few spoons of water

Instructions

Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Enjoy!

Kiwi & Sharon Fruit Smoothie

I admit, this is not the prettiest smoothie I have seen or made. But it tastes really good and it's something different to the conventional strawberry-banana thing. Try variations with grated ginger or squeeze of lemon juice or a dash of orange juice. Or you can just go let your imagination go wild and add whatever you fancy!

Ingredients
  • 1 large Sharon fruit (Persimmon)
  • 2 ripe kiwi

Instructions

Simply cut the fruit into chunks and blend until smooth, adding some water - the amount depends on how thick/liquid you like your smoothies.I like them really thick so I only add a little bit of water.

Beetroot Mango Smoothie

Quite an unusual combination, I know. But try it! If not for anything else, at least for the colour - so pretty! And it's so good for you: beets have lots of vitamins and fibre, but less sugar than fruits that usually go in smoothies. One of my favourites!

Ingredients

1 large beetroot, cooked (I use those vacuum packed from a supermarket)
1/2 large mango
Few spoons of natural yoghurt

Instructions

Just blend all the ingredients until smooth. Enjoy!
